Men’s Pie Club is about men’s love of pies – creating them, cooking them, eating them, sharing them and selling them. But most of all it’s about getting together, having a laugh, eating better and improving physical and mental health.

We meet in small, friendly groups of about 3-10 guys not in a big kitchen. When you get there, our Men’s Pie Club coordinator, will greet you.  You don’t need any cooking skills at all (but you’ll learn a few if you fancy it).

We use small camping stoves, our ‘famous’ pie-makers and recyclable containers to keep our pies in. You don’t need to bring anything. It’s all supplied and all free. You can take your pie home or eat it at the club.

Who’s behind Pie Club?

Funded by the Movember Foundation’s Social Innovation Challenge (SIC) to tackle loneliness in men, Men’s Pie Club is delivered through a partnership of the Newcastle-based social enterprise Food Nation and the Men’s Health Forum. The pilot project is running for two years from November 2017. Its impact will be evaluated by the Propel Centre for Population Health at the University of Waterloo, Canada.
